Since its founding in 1869, the St. Catharines Curling Centre (formally the St. Catharines Curling Club) has been a fixture in the Niagara community, introducing thousands of people to the sport of curling, and has been home to many local and provincial champions. Our best-known ambassador is two-time World Curling Champion Marilyn Bodogh.
The St. Catharines Curling Centre is a not-for-profit organization, governed by a Board of Directors elected by the membership. The Board is composed of between 7-15 Directors elected for a 3 year term; the President, Treasurer, Secretary of the Board, and Directors overseeing various areas of responsiblity such as League Convenors, Events, Facilities, Training, Corporate Sponsorship and Advertising, etc.
We are a volunteer run club with almost 400 members. Our membership is our most valued asset and includes curlers aged 6 to 95, curling in 16 leagues. We run leagues 7 days a week both in the daytime and in the evenings.
In addition to 4 sheets of ice, the club has an air-conditioned lounge, bar facilities and a Pro Shop.
During the summer months (May - September) we have 5 Pickleball Courts in the Arena and run sessions 6 days a week.
