An Instructional & League Play Program!
Unlock your potential in curling with our combined Learn-to-Curl / Rookie League Program, an 8-week Training Program followed by League play with continued coaching until the end of the season, tailored for 24 enthusiastic players.
This program is perfect for you if you're:
- completely new
- looking to refresh your skills after a break, or
- have two years or less of experience
This unique training experience seamlessly blends expert instruction with league play, ensuring you gain confidence and skill. Led by experienced instructors, you’ll receive comprehensive coaching on essential skills like safety, rock delivery, hack positioning, line of delivery, sweeping, rules, etiquette, and strategic play. Each session builds on the previous week, ensuring steady progress.
Upon completion of the 8-week program, you’ll have the opportunity to step into regular league play starting in January. Experience the thrill of structured team games, complete with opportunities for learning during play.
Our coaching will emphasize critical skills such as safety, weight control, reading the ice, calling the line, team building, and communication. You’ll practice decision-making in a simulated league environment and explore various curling positions—setting you up for success as you join other leagues tailored to your journey.

Club equipment (grippers, sliders and brooms) is available to use during the 8 week-training part of the program after which participants are asked to have their own equipment.
**Starter’s Equipment Package:** Our Pro Shop can equip you with a starter’s package for a reasonable price and provides a variety of options for brooms, shoes and other equipment.
Important: In order to keep the ice clean and clear of dirt and fibres (which adversely effects play) we ask the following:
- If you do not have curling shoes, please bring running shoes with clean soles, ones that have NOT been worn outside; we suggest thoroughly cleaning the soles of a pair of flat-soled running shoes and use them only for curling.
- Ensure you have warm, loose clothing made of fabric that does not shed. Layering is ideal.
